Unfortunately, the word “restoration” is loosely used by many. If you are buying a vehicle which they claim they’ve restored, ask for videos, photos and receipts. A pretty paint job is not a restoration.

Expectations

As a company policy, we have reduced the use of Bondo to the minimum expression possible. Nevertheless, a small amount of filler is required to achieve the perfect body, or closest to it. Our clients must be realistic with their expectations.

Restoration level

The amazing Toyota Land Cruiser should be available to everyone who wants one. Since not everyone can afford a fully resto-mod FJ, we created 3 levels of restoration. Now, this wonderful machine is available for every budget.

PLATINUM

This is a fully restored Toyota Land Cruiser. The frame-off restoration is done using the resto-mod technique. Regardless of the year, all these vehicles have a 5-speed manual transmission, power steering, front disc brakes, AC and Heating, forward-facing rear seat, electronic ignition, premier sound system, Android capable radio with GPS, reverse camera, and electrical harness. Every single part of the vehicle has been inspected, repaired, or replaced. They present zero rust and the body, frame, and undercarriage have been sandblasted and painted. These vehicles range between $60,000 to $100,000 depending on the model and features. All made-to-order FJs fall into this category.

GOLD

This is a partially restored Toyota Land Cruiser. In general, it is not a frame-off restoration. However, the engine, transmission, transfer, and differentials have been opened, repaired, or replaced. The interior and upholstery have been repaired and replaced. Most of the rubber packings and seals are replaced. These vehicles retain their original features. Most of our series 60, 70, and 80s fall under this restoration level. These vehicles are newer and therefore require less restoration work. Our prices for these FJs lie between $40,000 to $60,000 depending on the model and features. These vehicles are restored by our technicians at the FJ Classics shop.

SILVER

Most of these Land Cruisers were consigned to us by other restorers. We didn’t witness the restoration of these vehicles, but we make sure they come from reputable restorers who need a dealer to sell their products in North America. We test and try them before we offer these vehicles to our clients. We also try to gather all the information, pictures, and videos available on the work performed on these Land Cruisers. In some cases, we make small repairs but we mostly rely on the disclosures and documentation received from the restorer. The prices for these Silver FJs are between $20,000 to $40,000.
