Our Standards
All our FJs, regardless of the model year have the following standard specifications:
All our Land Cruisers are equipped with Hydraulic Steering also known as Power Steering.
The early Fjs had only drum brakes. Regardless of the year or manufacture, all our Land Cruisers carry front disc brakes.
Our standard manual transmission is a 4-speed. 5 speed transmissions are available upon request.
Our vehicles carry either the 2F (4.2L) engine or the 3F (4.0L) engine as standards.
All our vehicles go through a complete, total, frame-off rebuilding process. Our restoration technique is called resto-mod. We respect originality but emphasize drivability.
Our cabined vehicles have fiberglass tops because of its durability and light weight. Also, they are easier to take them off if desired.
The original FJ carries lateral folding double-back seats. Starting with our model FM803 to be out in December 2023, all our vehicles will carry a forward-facing foldable rear seat.
We don’t produce relics to keep them in your garage and to be used only on Sundays. We produce modern, enjoyable, and drivable cars. We Resto-Mod.
All our vehicles have no rust. They are all coated with rust protection paint. Also, we coat the critical parts of the body such as the floor and the whole underneath with P7 Impercryl waterproof or moisture inhibitor.
This P7 is conspicuously painted the same color as the vehicle. Unusually, some old folds and unreachable inner folds of the body could have minimum rust, those are places impossible to reach. If such small amounts of rust are present, it is not at all critical or damaging.
We are always trying to keep the originality of the vehicle without sacrificing comfort and drivability. That is why we use new parts as much as possible.
Sometimes, we may restore or re-manufacture used parts because new parts may not be readily available in the marketplace.
Toyota Land Cruisers come with convencional breaker point ignition system. All our Fjs are upgraded and fitted with Electronic Ignition Systems.
Originally, the FJs didn’t come with heating and air conditioning. Under our principles of comfort and drivability, absolutely all our vehicles are equipped with an A/C unit.
Starting with model FM 803 to be out in December 2023 and beyond all our units will also carry heating, even the Soft-Tops.
Starting with Model FM803, all our vehicles carry premium sound systems with GPS, android capabilities, and rear-view cameras.
Original FJ Resto-Mods
Every vehicle we produce conserves the originality of the Toyota FJ brand with few upgrades to adapt the machines to our modern style of living.
The original FJ could be a rough vehicle to drive. Automobile technology was at that time in its infancy. Our objective is to offer the beautiful looks of this amazing design incorporating the drivability of our modern day vehicles. We don’t want to offer a relic or a statue to be parked in your garage, we resto-mode the FJ to make it an every day, drivable car.
We strive to keep the originality of the vehicle to the maximum possible, but driveability takes the priority in most of our restorations.
With very few exceptions, all our vehicles are “number matching” and have the original engine and chassis numbers.
